Enjoyed this small museum during super museum Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the many evocative ship models and heir desriptive placards. Their gardens are very well maintained and pleasant to stroll as well.

Ships of the Sea is a fascinating museum with the history of Savannah's seaport from early colonial days through the present. It is in an old mansion that is worth a visit just by itself. It has one of the most beautiful gardens in town...More

There are several rooms with very interesting displays in the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. The tour guide was very good and there is a lot to see.

Lots of craftsmanship, photos and information. Would have been helpful to have seating areas around the audio/visual areas for extended time there (got tired from standing and viewing)
