A lovely old Cathedral. The stations of the Cross are amazing. I love that they take worship seriously and deny tourists during Mass. Well worth a stop to encounter our Savior during your trip.

Beautiful Cathedral of St. John the Baptist! This was outstanding to see and to be standing in. It’s a must do when visiting Savannah in the historic district regardless of religious views. It’s a “wow” factor.

Beautiful and awe-inspiring! Took my 12 year old grandson and the environment led to a great conversation. A very special place. Will definitely come back.

We stopped in to the cathedral twice on our travels through the historic district. We mostly went in to cool off but were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the inside and outside of the building. Even if religion isn't on your list of interests,...More

It was closed off to tours. Being the Catholics that we are, we attended the mass. Advise to do a tour on your own.

Based on what I saw, there is no dress code. There was a great mixture of folks attending the mass (5:30 on Sat. night). Some of the did suits, but most had either sweaters or winter jackets. I wore jeans with a sweater and... More

There was a midnight Mass. Residents of Savannah told us that you have to arrive very early as the number of people are attending and late arrives end up standing outside for the Mass.
