It's hard to miss if you're in the downtown area. This is one classy building with a gleaming gold dome and a lot of history. It's at the end of Bull Street, which the tour operators love to point out (bull....politicians....get it???) so there are...More

The City Hall is a very attractive building not far from the waterfront. We didn't get the chance to go inside but would have liked to. Seeing the sun shine on that golden dome makes for a great photo.

According to the history of the building, the City Hall was designed and built by local architect Hyman Wallace in 1901 and is a Renaissance Revival and was built to replace the old City Exchange building. Handsome looking building with gold dome can be seen...More

I really liked the architectural design of this building with the gold dome. It stands tall at the end of the street and compliments the city skyline.

Although you are restricted to the first floor rotunda, a short visit here is worthwhile. Make sure you pick up a booklet to help you find the “treasures” within the building. And look up at the 4 story high stained glass dome.

This gold-domed jewel dominates the skyline of the historic district. Most of the building is not accessible to the public, but the foyer and rotunda are . . . so step in and appreciate the art and craftsmanship of mosaic tiles and art glass. Don't...More

The building is strikingly beautiful. You get a real nice view of it from the Convention Center. The building is well-tended inside and out. It makes for great pictures.

With its distinctive dome in tissue-paper-thin, 23-karat gold leaf, Savannah's City Hall (1906) is the first building constructed for exclusive use by the municipal government. Located on Bay Street and a block away from the Savannah River, this building is spectacular! Rising 70 ft in...More

We stumbled into the city hall by accident, and it was pure luck. Just beautiful and the architecture is lovely. It sits right on the other side of River Street. Stop by for a visit and take some pictures!
