A gem in Baltimore

Closed to downtown Baltimore and inner harbor. Great campus atmosphere. Lots of security. Convenient to public transportation.

A great university in the inner city in an upscale neighborhood. The new Henrietta Lacks movie reflects the story of the family and the research lab that established the world's human cell study gold standard HeLa cells while her family misunderstood what was happening with her cells with some thinking their mother could still feel pain as her cells were... The JHU campus is incredibly beautiful. Visit in the spring and enjoy quads filled with flowering trees and spacious greens surrounded by lovely Georgian red brick buildings. Tour through Gilman Hall and admire the beautiful stained glass in the reading rooms, see the generous library space, beautiful athletic facilities, and extensive academic spaces. Add to this the fact that JHU... More

We visited Johns Hopkins as a college Visit for my daughter, and attended an hour-long presentation by a member of the admissions team for the university. Our initial concerns of security remain after driving through some dilapidated neighborhoods in Baltimore, but the campus seems relatively secure, with security guards and emergency call buttons everywhere. The campus is beautiful and we... More

Either Johns Hopkins University or the Hospital a distance from each other, terrific history behind both institutions. The University itself has beautiful grounds, lovely staff. The Hospital sits in a pretty bad part of town sorry to say, BUT good care.

We toured the school this weekend and found the campus to be beautiful and everyone we encountered very friendly. If you come I would suggested staying at the Colonnade Doubletree hotel which is just across the street from the campus.

Large prestigious hospitals really get a bad rap when it comes to patient service. Johns Hopkins isn't your typical large hospital. The outpatient facility is very well run and easy to navigate. First of all, the Metro ends right at the concourse so there is no need to walk around the neighborhood or drive any farther than Owings Mills. Once... More

Johns Hopkins a very famous university, especially well known for its Medical center and campus, and for the Peabody School of Music. It's nice to walk around in and get a taste of the history there.
