The place is being restored so you don't get to see it all...sadly. If you don't have the time for the tour at least find a parking space and look at it.

This is a quick side-trip but you should stop and read the plaques because it is so unusual. After seeing it from afar so many times, it was nice to go up and take a good long look.

We walked by this afternoon after visiting the flag museum. It reminded me of a round red Washington monument. It stands over the Police memorial. Unfortunantly it was not open.
