The grounds are peaceful, with the particular appeal of providing many resting spots/benches, as well as walking paths through the woods. It is not a big property, but I did see a plant or two that I did not recognize. This is a tucked away jewel in the city for sure. Just a very pleasant place.

The grounds were in pretty rough shape, and the mansion was just open, no lights on or anything. I thought there might be a brochure or something, but there wasn't. Everything opens at different hours too.

The arboretum is a bit small, and not too exotic, you can take your time and still spend less then 1 hour which is good for small childrens attention. Ample parking. You can spend more time walking thru the park outside. Admision is a $5 donation so it's not expensive.

My wife and I often go to Cylburn Arboretum just to walk around the grounds, view the many garden and/or stroll through the woods. This beautiful gardens are free and well worth taking a bit of time to check out. In the spring there is a garden festival selling starter vegetable and flowers for your home garden. Lectures, approximately once... More

I can't believe it took me over 10 years to find out about Cylburn Arboretum! I went hiking here yesterday for the first time and it was a wonderful experience! The hiking trails were well-marked, even with the leaves falling, and the scenery was beautiful. I liked the "deer exclusion zone" fences and, even though there were a considerable number... More

Year round, Cylburn is a great place to get outdoors...quiet trails, diverse plants/trees make it enjoyable even when flowers aren't in bloom...when they are it's amazing!

Friends of ours lost their daughter/sister\niece and chose to have the memorial service at Cylburn Arboretum. The room the service was held in faced the landscaped area and was comforting. Photos of the young woman were displayed on stands. An elevator was available to go from one floor to the next. Even the repast was held there in a section... More

I just found out about this place. We took a great walk in the trails. A gem right here in Baltimore. I can't wait to go back in the spring when everything is blooming. It also looks like they have some class room activities took. We really enjoyed our visit. Located just about 5- 10 min from downtown Baltimore

This is a beautiful area. It's surprising to see in the middle of a large city. The gardens were well maintained and spacious. There is also a wooded area with some trails for moderate hiking. There were some very beautiful flowers blooming in the gardens. We were able to find a few geocaches within the park. It's completely free and... More
