Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The View of Baltimore City Hall from the War Memorial Plaza of the six-story structure is perfect. One can also have a dramatic view of the dome and upper stories from Butchers Hill driving in to town on Baltimore Street. The building was designed by the young architect, George Aloysius Frederick (1842–1924) in the Second Empire style/Baroque revival. The cornerstone was laid in October, 1867, but the completed building was not dedicated until October 1875. The beautiful marble exterior came from nearby Baltimore county quarries. Since my visit was on a Saturday, I appreciated the classic building from the outside including the winding front staircase. A Statue representing African American soldiers who have fought for the country stands guard outside. The quiet of a weekend helped me get a better sense of the grandeur of this structure.

One of the beautiful landmarks in the city. Its structural design is wonderful. No chance to go inside but there was a War Memorial Plaza right across the building. It is surrounded by the City's important services such as the court house, fire and police department.

Baltimore has many architecturally significant buildings from modern to historic, residential to commercial, and private to public but I found the Baltimore City Hall to be one of the city's most beautiful buildings. It was surprising that I didn't even see it listed in Trip Advisor's list of things to do, places to see in Baltimore. So I submitted an entry for the elegant building that houses the Baltimore City Hall.
Now that the entry has been approved and posted I'm now writing the entry's first review. We visited on a Sunday so there wasn't any possibility of visiting the building's interior and I'm not even sure visits are allowed unless on some type of official business. But just being able to see the City Hall's beautiful architecture from outside and snapping a few pictures I believe would be worth for anyone who loves classical European style buildings.
It's not far from the city's popular Inner Harbor area so do check it out!
