Designed by Latrobe who also designed many other great American buildings. Recently restored to its original appearance--surprisingly light and airy inside

This Basilica was very interesting and unusual in a beautiful way. It was the first in America. Has rich history and a lot of history, a must see, you won't regret it.

Several of the people I was with went here for Sunday mass. Unlike most basilicas the design was simple yet beautiful on the inside.

The church itself does not have parking however there are 2 garages close by. We opted to park on a side street and use metered parking

I agree, although it is not far from the Amtrak station, since you are not familiar with Baltimore, a cab would be your best and safest bet.
