Seeing the Preakness can now be checked off my bucket list. But Pimlico is a pretty rundown track that badly needs either a lot of renovation or replacement. The epic rains this year meant a lot of large rain-catching buckets in the Grandstand, and leaks...More

excellent venue for a laid back adventure into the high stakes world of horse racing. Driving to the track was a little sketchy....but over all 9/10 of a trip

We had only been to a track once before and went to Pimlico with two friends from Chicago who are horse race fans. We went on Memorial Day (one week after the Preakness) for the last day of live racing. We had heard that it...More

Make sure to do your research before attending a race here, especially the Preakness. Parking is horrendous and overpriced. Best bet is the lightrail and free shuttle bus. Drinks are overpriced as usual, but the specialty Preakness drink gets you a souvenir glass. Seating is...More

If you are going to go for a spiffy race, go to the Black Eyed Susan, the day before the Preakness. The place is decorated to the hilt because the Preakness is the next day. The racing is great. Fabulous horses, world class jockeys and...More

We have been coming to the Black Eyed Susan and Preakness races for many years. Each year is worse than the last. This year they have disgraced the program and Maryland racing in general. It is as if they are fighting along side the others...More
