Attended a wedding in the hall & was treated to the tour of the catacombs. The hall is an awesome venue. The catacombs tour was fascinating. Lots of Baltimore history & interesting info. Not to be missed!

My curiosity got the best of me as I walked down Fayette Street upon the site. Poe's Memorial was right there at the entrance, and I was drawn in. It was well after dark, and I found myself wandering through a cemetery! A CEMETERY! I was curious, excited, and eager to see what magic this place held. There is so... More

My friends and I took a private tour of the burial grounds and catacombs last night and it was great! Jeff Jerome the guide was entertaining and informative. The only downside was the time went by too quick. Best advice if you're taking an evening tour make sure you show up earlier during the day so you can take pictures.... More

If you are a fan of Edgar Allan Poe, you should visit this cemetery. There are other members of his family there too.

f in the areas it's a definite stop, especially to see Poe's grave site and other notable citizens/founding settlers of Baltimore. Many contributing citizens buried at this cemetery. The Church was not open when we visited and I got the impression it probably is not usually open so do not get disappointed if you cannot enter, I think that's doubtful.... More

My husband and I came here to see Edgar Allan Poe's gravesite, and we found so much more. The marble monument to Poe can be seen through the gates, and there is so much info on him and how the monument was erected. There are also many more prestigious Baltimoreans buried here though, with info on their families and the... More

The cemetery made me feel as if I stepped back in time. It was bathed in culture and was informative. It is the final resting place of Edgar Allan Poe and many others.

It's your typical cemetery, nothing particularly special except for Edgar Allen Poe's grave. Maybe some other famous people are buried here, but mostly if you go, just go for a few minutes and look around.

....in the midst of chaos. Walking to the church could make a girl a bit nervous. All the reviews about this neighborhood are worrisome. But, with a friend we made our way, unharnessed, to see the church and its underground occupants. We continued on after our church visit...
