Great views and atmosphere
May 2021
This place is cool! Situated inside the old Bumble Bee tuna cannery on the Columbia River, you have to drive or walk the wooden pier to get to the building. We walked from our hotel along the river walk to the Rogue Public House on Pier 39. The drinks and food were both top notch. You can hear the sea lions barking while you sit and enjoy your libations, and the views of the Columbia River are great. Talk about atmosphere! Would definitely stop in again if I was ever in the area.

Yummy

Great food and beer, we got the halibut fish and chips and the prawns, delicious! It's nice that you can still sit outside to eat during covid. Although we were told we had to go back in to order more food or beer if needed, the servers were still periodically coming out to make sure everyone had full glasses and asking if we needed anything else.

Unimpressed but not unhappy

The worst part is the restaurant was freezing. The restrooms are a long cold walk to a long cold bathroom, original to the cannery. The beers I’m sure are fine but I was here for lunch. My salad was so-so. The chicken I added to it for protein was too spicy. My husband got the original unoriginal sandwich, which was tasty, and served with a ton of crispy tater tots.
Cheese curds appetizer were the best!

Delicious & Fun Atmosphere

We enjoyed eating and drinking here. It is located on a pier a little drive from downtown. They have a good selection of beers and pub food. We loved the fish and chips as well as the quesadilla. There is indoor and outdoor seating.
Due to covid, you order at the counter and seat yourself. Your order will be brought out to you.

Good salmon fish and chips - would return

Line was long but it was expected on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Most of our group ordered either salmon or halibut fish and chips. Food was very good and came out quickly. The views were spectacular - hard to beat.

DELICIOUS Burgers with a nice view and atmosphere

You have to drive down a dock to get to the pier and if you have kids with you they would think that was fun. The menu was varied and food very good. They also offer spirits if you're not a beer drinker. Will definately be back.

A Great Place to Relax and Visit on the Water Front
Nov. 2019
We come here whenever we visit Astoria or Seaview, WA. They have a variety of food and a wide variety of beverages. You can visit and sit right on the edge of the Columbia River. Several ships passed by us on their way up the river. A great place to just sit back and relax.

A Great Brewery

What a fun place to visit. Started our Oregon trip at Astoria, and this was our first stop from Portland. The location is in a beautiful location on the water, and the beers are excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. Give it a try!

Rogue Nation is alive and well.

After living out of the rogue brewery and public house areas for roughly 13 years I finally made it back and things are different but just as good. On a recent Oregon coast trip we decided to forgo a stop in Newport (home of Rogue) but come to the Rogue here in the old bumble bee cannery out on the end of pier 39. First of all driving onto the pier was pretty cool itself. We got inside and to be honest the place could have used a cleaning from the scent of old split beer but it wasn’t too bad. We ordered the CBD drink with a shot of vodka on the side and a flight. To eat we had shared the little chicken sammies, halibut fish and chips and the buffalo cauliflower. Long gone are days of Brutal Bitter and the Brutal Rubens. We really enjoyed the Halibut and the chicken. Just as we had sat down there was a shift change and the bartender and waitress were both very nice and got us started until the new waitress/bartender came on. Our new person Renee was very friendly and very helpful. I then tried the Rogue Spirits own brand Rye whiskey and then a pint of Dead Guy (had to use my rogue card that had been in my wallet all these years to get my 50 cents off a pint..ha). Sad to learn they no longer do the member cards with a picture on it (mine is never leaving my wallet now). After that we sat up at the bar for a Manhattan and a second CBD drink (only 2 per day per customer). We shared some conversation with our original bartender and waitress that were at the other end of the bar and Renee that was still on point. If you are a fan of rogue this one is definitely worth checking out. Great staff and great food. So sad to learn if John Maiers retirement. He was the original Brewmaster that created Rogues greatness.
