In the building that was once Astoria's city hall, the Heritage Museum records the colorful past of Clatsop County.

You can learn so much from the Heritage Museum! I could have spent hours in here. Also they let you roll the wheel on the 100 year old roulette table so it's worth it just for that alone. Super fun, super interesting, really helpful staff!

A nice place to start a visit to Astoria. There's a lot to tell and only a limited space, but it's well used. A bit of everything.

I enjoyed learning more about the early people of this area, and the accompanying displays were very good. It's worth a stop for a look the variety of things they have about the Astoria area.

Another place in town that just had so much info about the town and it's people. There is some very rich history and you can tell the town is very proud of it.

Doesn't pull any punches regarding the rough and tumble of Astoria when it was major fishing and canning town back in the day. Brothels, gambling and hard drinking pretty much defined the town from the 1870s to @1950. WELL WORTH THE TIME TO VISIT.

Nice blend of local history. From Clatsop Indians to Baudy Houses, Illicit Liquor, and the fur trade, this Museum has some great displays! Take the time to read the plaques.

While this venue isn't as compelling as the maritime museum, it is certainly worth a visit. You will be exposed to the history of Astoria, warts and all. Many folks today have no concept of the KKK, prohibition, and unfair labor practices - but you'll...More

We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this museum. We only went here because it was part of a three museum pass that we purchased, but we are certainly glad we did. Lots of exhibits and history for this interesting town, from the...More
