This is a great State park, lots of biking and hiking trails. An old shipwreck on the beach and the only Civil War fort west of the Mississippi River. The old fort is nothing more than foundations, but the gun embankments from WWI & WWII are all in place. They offer two tours during the summer months one in an... More

This campground has changed so much since I was a child. Yes it's different but it's not bad at all. There are so many opportunities at this site especially for family trips.

Really brings you back to the days that Fort Stevens was an operational base. It was really nasty, rainy. windy, weather when we went, so, we pretty much ran from place to place, Great experience

This park contains an abandoned military installation, including former gun batteries facing the ocean. It was actually fired on once by a Japanese sub; now there's a peace monument marking the location. The road takes you up a narrow spit of land with the ocean on one side and the riverfront on the other, where you can see what's left... More

We stayed here for a night in August and it was so much fun. There is so much to do close by. You can explore the bunkers or head to the beach and check out the shipwreck or hit a trail. The sand at the beach was great.

This State Park is great. The shipwreck remnants on the beach are fun to look at. The Fort is a great place to imagine the past, and the river offers a nice sheltered beach experience. Great for a family that likes to explore outdoors and see a variety of things in one general area.

Stopped at Fort Stevens State Park on our journey along the Oregon Coast. We wanted to see the Peter Iredale ship wreck and walk along the beach. It was a quick stop to take a few pics, but very nice to see the beautiful, clean Oregon beach and take a refreshing walk.

Big but well laid out campground. Near beaches. Lots of historic stuff nearby. You can walk right up to the wreck on the beach.

Went to Fort Stevens for a short getaway. We rented a yurt #11. It was clean, the grounds are nicely kept. The yurt has a bunk bed, twin on top/queen on the bottom and a futon that turns into a bed. Our spot had a fire pit and a picnic table, small covered entryway. The only downside was it was... More

Really wonderful camping spot. Lots to see in the area. Trailer areas have plenty of room between them so you aren't packed in like sardines.
