The Astoria Column and this bridge own all the views near the mouth of the Columbia River. From this bridge you get the better view of the river mouth and bar, where the river meets the wind and currents of the ocean. Really great. Plus...More

Its fun to drive across this bridge but its equally fun to be a passenger because you can see so far in the distance. Unfortunately for travellers, this bridge is a construction zone until mid 2018, so expect delays. We recently crossed it twice--a very...More

4 mile bridge spanning the Columbia River. Take a drive and get a good view of the surrounding area. Memorial under the bridge, Astoria side.

What a beautiful bridge. If you are going to Astoria, you will go over this bridge. I believe it is the longest bridge of its kind. Fun to o drive over

Go... it's the only way you will appreciate just how big is the Columbia River. No stopping, but great perspective.

I built bridges for a living so automatically I liked this bridge. If you are coming from the south going north...have you camera ready as you get a great view of the bridge while curling around and up before you get to bridge.

You could see a big part of the bridge from the The Astoria Column, which is overlooking the Columbia River but not all.

They are and will be until 2017 if I recall the signs right. I do not recall a low overhang clearance, at least nothing any conceivable vehicle would worry about.
