A bridge spanning the mouth of the Columbia River connecting the Northwestern tip of Oregon with Washington State. Beautiful design and artistic functionality set this bridge apart from many. It is fun to see. A little nerve-wracking to drive across in wind and driving rain,...More

I don't think of this as an attraction, though the span has a long lead-in, and the high portion of the bridge is high enough to allow full-sized ship traffic. It's an impressive bridge, but you're not going to do more than drive over it.

You can drive over it, and look at it from afar, but the best way to experience it is participating in the Great Columbia Crossing held every October. The drug is very walker friendly. The bridge is magnificent to view and photograph.

This is one of the largest bridges in the US & the views from it are fantastic. You have a great view of Astoria & the local Pacific coast.

It was fun to drive across the bridge and look back at Àstoria. We could see other sites we had visited. I appreciated that there was no toll charged.

You could see a big part of the bridge from the The Astoria Column, which is overlooking the Columbia River but not all.

They are and will be until 2017 if I recall the signs right. I do not recall a low overhang clearance, at least nothing any conceivable vehicle would worry about.
