The admission to the museum of whimsy was only 5.00. If it was anymore I might have felt ripped off. But in all fairness it was entertaining and it is not like there is much to do in astoriaMore

Hi Steve32123! Thank you for finding our $5 admission fee "cheap." And I am glad you found the museum to be entertaining. I don't know when you visited the museum, but you are right, there is not much to do in Astoria, which is why...More

This museum houses a huge collection of objects not necessarily related to one another. Circus memorabilia resides next to an actual riverboat, elaborate place settings are flanked by strangely attired mannequins and everywhere you look there's something different and unusual. As mentioned in a prior...More

Yes, we do have whimsical hours. I'm pleased you were able to tour the museum after my assistant opened the building for you and the couple who had called me while I was driving from Seattle. Disappointing reviews, from people not being able to tour...More

Really unique museum filled with the odd findings of a single collector. Spans two floors of a classic old Astoria Bank.

1890 Can-can dancer outfits, Scottish regalia, English canal longboat, clowns, and military historical books all under one roof--and so much more. With a simple $10 entry fee for everyone in the party, there's something for everyone to enjoy and we did.

Ditto to what previous reviewers said....and an added note about the extensive history of aviation research library her father in law amassesed. This museum is a tribute to the creativity of the human spirit.

Thank you so much for the 5 star review and for mentioning our wonderful History and Aviation Library that was created in memory of my father in law. It was so nice taking with you. Thank you for touring the MOW - twice!

First, I just want to mention, after looking over the reviews that because a place isn't open when you show up to see it doesn't merit a one star rating--sometimes the self entitlement posturing in ratings can really screw up a business reputation, so it...More

The Museum of Whimsy is more than just whimsical, and it's more than just a museum. It's a glorious and eccentric collection of beautiful, strange, old, rare, and amazing items spread out over two floors of a large and beautifully restored 1920s-era bank building in...More
