Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I enjoy small-scale collecting of art by PNW artists and we make it a point to check out the galleries of all the places we visit in our travels. We've seen many fine exhibits and are running out of wall space, so we are well past being easily impressed. We wandered into Riversea 15 minutes before closing and knew instantly we were in a very special place. First priority: gaining assurance we could stay on until we were finished despite the closing hour. And then came one of the most enchanting, provocative, intriguing and enjoyable gallery visits ever, anywhere. Riversea is beyond special. Make whatever adjustments in your schedule and plans that are necessary. If you are an art lover, you must see this gallery, every square inch of it. I could have spent thousands here. The multiple collections each stand on their own and also enhance the companion collections throughout the gallery. The mix of two-dimensional and three-dimensional was perfect. Everything was mounted and lighted perfectly. And the choices of what to exhibit are genius. Go, go, go right now before any of what I saw changes. You will remember this visit for a long long time.

My wife was shopping for earrings for herself and for herself. She had a difficult time making a decision, but the shop person who waited on her had lot of patience with her. She finally settled on two pair and went away happy,

This well curated art gallery has an awesome variety of art work of many types, styles and medium. I especially enjoyed the bamboo work of Charissa Brock. It's one of Astoria's larger galleries and certainly one of the nicest. It truly adds to the experience of walking downtown and browsing through the shops.

When we travel we make a point to visit art galleries. This gallery was phenomenal. Pieces were artistically displayed. Lit beautifully. The art was very different meaning the art wasn't the same thing you see gallery after gallery. Although there was traditional art, there was also art done in different media I had never seen before. A lot of the pieces were beyond my pocketbook. However that did not stop me from appreciating what was on display. We did buy a tall wooden vessel which we thought was reasonably priced. Renee, the sales person, was delightful to talk to. I bet we spent almost an hour in the gallery admiring the art. I would totally recommend stopping in. It was an inspiring beautiful experience.

I visited Astoria recently with my husband, and we ran across this gallery. The items in the window looked interesting, so we decided to go in and poke around. We were so glad we did! This is an amazing gallery. The variety and quality of the artwork is very impressive. Many different mediums and artistic styles were represented. We were frankly surprised to find such a "big city" gallery in a small town like Astoria (no offense, Astoria!) If you enjoy quality artworks and are planning a visit to Astoria, you'll be delighted with this gallery.

A great showplace for local artists, they also do occasional events. I particularly enjoy the annual show they host for the Tenor Guitar Gathering.

This gallery has work from local Oregon coast artists. They have movable sculptures, paintings, weavings, and everything whimsy! I spent a lot of time wandering, impressed with the skill and ingenuity! If you are walking down Commercial Street, stop in! From the sounds of it, the art is always changing!
