We happened upon this stop and found it pretty interesting. It's true it is right next door to somebody's home. The grounds themselves are very peaceful, quiet with a short walk through the woods. If anything we learned what earthworks are.

stopped by while in area. Its an old site with earthworks that the south used to defend the river with. It has seen better days. Very overgrown shrubs and needs a good raking of leaves. So overgrown hard to located the earthworks.some old rusted cannons...More
