A surprising find in the city

My husband and I like to go on "adventures" where we live, to get to know the area better. We had been meaning to go to MOCA, but never seemed to get there. Well, we went today... read more

this place has an awesome kids area upstairs. we usuall park at the king street garage and take the skyway to hemming plaze and MOCA is right there. what a great, cheap way to experience downtown and the life of the city. We also have left MOCA and walked a few blocks to the Bank of America building. they have... More

My husband and I like to go on "adventures" where we live, to get to know the area better. We had been meaning to go to MOCA, but never seemed to get there. Well, we went today and while two floors had exhibits under construction, we were surprised to find out that MOCA is part of the University of North... More

I went with my 13 and 10 year old boys. I had read other reviews about the art and the front desk subtly "warned" me about the nude art on the second floor. However being the parent I feel I'm best to make the call on what my kids can handle. So we went to the second floor, and I... More

A tired and hackneyed collection of 'modern' art in an equally bland setting. Uninspiring inspiration at its best, which is into what Jacksonville excels.

The space had a lot of cool exhibits. I would definitely come back. Very cool and fun museum. Great for kids.

I visited the Jacksonville Art Walk last week and discovered an exhibit in downtown Jacksonville worth seeing at the Museum of Contemporary Art. It was absolutely amazing to explore the exhibit of "Illusions" on the third floor. All grandparents with time on their hands, should take their grandkids around the age of 9 to 13 to experience this exhibit. I'm... More

Let's face it, there is not a whole deal to do in downtown Jacksonville on a humid and hot Sunday if you don't have transportation so more by accident than by design, we ended up visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art. What a joy it was though! The collection is indeed not large but it is very well set out... More

Always happily surprised by the interesting exhibitions. Very up-to-date in the art field. As the Museum is not very big, you can visit the whole of it in a visit. The little shop is also faithful to the Museum's vocation.

Found to be unique and fun for the kids. Great place to introduce the kids to the art world. They will love the colors and shapes.
