I went to the Cummer Museum for the excellent Augusta Savage Exhibition. I had lunch in the lovely café and took my time wandering through African-American history and culture from the perspective of an amazing artist. I particularly appreciated her local story as well as...More

The gardens are open, but sparse since Hurricane Irma flooded them last year. However, this museum is well stocked, and worth a visit. The Augusta Savage Exhibit was wonderful.

Wonderful permanent collection of varied eras of art in various media, beautiful current exhibits, and peaceful gardens located right on the river. If you like art museums or outdoor gardens I highly recommend a visit. Free parking across the street a very welcome perk.

Cafe has good food., salads, sandwiches, etc. The napa cabbage slaw (side) is really quite good. The gardens have not yet been restored from hurricane damage but will surely be lovely again. The views of the river are fantastic.

Expected to be here a few hours and stayed until closing time. The exterior of this facility does not reveal the expansive nature of the interior. I enjoyed learning the history of many works of art, tapestries, and ceramics. Beyond the confines of walls, one...More

I frankly do not know policy. If the young folks are well behaved as I expect it should go well.

I’m not sure. They have a reciprocal entrance agreement with the Chicago Botanic Garden. If you are a member of your local Botanic garden, you might get in for free.
