During the Summer months, Classic movies are shown on Sunday afternoon. Saw "Sleepless in Seattle" with my wife and we look forward to Mrs Doubtfire next weekend. Parking spots on the street are free and concession prices are not astronomical like the 'regular' theatres. We...More

The first concert I attended at the Florida Theatre was Buddy Guy, with opening act Jimmie Vaughn. What an amazing place to see a blues legend. I bought a ticket at the box office the day of the show, parked (for free) on the street,...More

The theater is beautiful! The seating is horrible!!! The seats are old old old theater seating that will comfortable hold a small child. No adult small, medium, large, or xlarge could sit comfortably in the seats for a 2-3 hour show. Many people got up...More

What a fun family performance. The Florida Theater is lovely. Do note that there aren’t any restaurants within walking distance open on Sunday. We had hoped to grab a bite before the show. Great time!

The Florida theatre has 1900 seats, a huge theatre and unless you're in the first front rows center you'll feel left out. In addition they are quite happy to allow both video and audio taping. This results in a constant barrage of cell phones pictures...More

This theatre venue is refreshing. There's really no bad seat in the house and it's small enough for the performers to have an intimate connection with the audience (and visa versa). There is an open bar in the lobby and ample restrooms. The location in...More

First time visit: The Florida Theater is deceiving from the outside - I was impressed with the interior ceiling architecture and lighting. The seating and acoustics are good, though the seats are dated. Overall, a good location for enjoying music or plays. A personal security...More

My bride and I have walked from the Omni in the past with no problems. We’re in our 60’s. That’s not saying you couldn’t run into street people.
