If visiting Amelia Island this is on your way, stop by it's worth the time. Beautiful plantation home with slave houses still intact! Great story and great time.

Although interesting, it needs more. It would be nice to be allowed inside the plantation home, especially if it were decorated and furnished with period furniture. Same with the barn. The separate kitchen offered more. Perhaps if we had taken the audio tour, we would...More

Wow! Didn't know what I was going to see when I visited this place, but was not thinking it would be the beautiful, peaceful place that it is. The drive into the plantation is absolutely beautiful. The grand oak trees, palm trees, saw palmettos and...More

I visited the Kingsley Plantation after seeing it online. First of all I did not expect the rather long secluded drive, and I recommend going very slowly as there are tons of deep potholes that aren't always seen. However, once you get there, it is...More

If you think that you know history, some of this may surprise you. All walking, not wheel chair accessible. Pick a nice sun shiny day and take your time to enjoy this piece of history

This is a place where you can step back in time when it was not good for our nation but enjoy the tranquilty of this small piece of land looking over the water

The place is beautiful but the history made me sad. The view of the water is very nice. The area is very clean

Beautiful old site, wonderful historical site, a must see location. A good early afternoon or late morning trip before it gets too hot out.

This attraction is off the beaten path but worth the visit. It is a very quiet and peaceful location but informative. You can see actual slave quarters as well as an original plantation house and learn about the daily lives of slaves and plantation owners....More

But if you want to tour the house you need reservations ahead of time. Tours are only Saturday at 11:00am, maybe Sunday too.
How far is the Plantation from the Airport? How much time should I plan on being there? Is the main house still under renovation?

Kingsley Plantation is approximately 29 minutes from the airport give or take a few. The main house is under renovation but they do give tours twice a day. You can still get the audio tours, free of charge, but it doesn't... More
We would like to visit the Plantation somewhere around the twelfth to the fourteenth of January 2017. Are you open and if so are there any activities or tours available? Thanks

Pretty sure they are open year round. They have a self guided tour that was pretty interesting.
