Specatular view of natural bridge

It reminded me of the natural bridges park. I love the sandstone natural bridges and this one is very accessible to older visitors and your families.

The weather was getting hostile so we didn't hike. We stopped to take pictures. The arch looked really close from the road to hike. We planned to come back the next day for this, but it rained as well.

The arch is not all that big, but it is easily accessible. We saw herds of mule deer and a fantastic sunset on the road.

Our first "arch" on a 21-day tour of the Southwest. Very impressive and a short hike to the base of the arch. Restrooms here as well!

If you like Jurassic Park and King Kong movies, you'll love this place. My wife and I keep thinking that T-rex or King Kong will come out of the corner. It was surreal! Did we enjoy our time there, YES!

A short walk takes you up to a fence where you have a nice view of the arch. There is also a trail which goes up to the arch. Wear hiking boots.

This was one of many wonderful views within the El Malpais National Monument. Only an hour + outside of Albuquerque and the landscape is completely different. This is one of many must see stops within the National Park system.

The La Ventana Arch is located along the eastern side of El Malpais National Monument (on Route 117). It is an interesting arch, but nothing like Arches National Park. It is only a short walk from the parking lot to the arch. Unfortunately, they don't allow you to get close enough to the arch (unless you decide to hop the... More

largee natural arch - impressive in size but even with short trail to the base, hard to get a decent pic from that perspective.
