My tour passed by Jenny Wade's house and statue. She was the only civilian killed in the battle, and you can still see bullet holes in the house. Not a major stop on the tour, but an interesting tidbit.

We were staying in Gettysburg for four days and had the Jenny Wade house on our bucket list. It is really small and only takes a few minutes to visit, but worth listening and understanding the history of her significance.

When you think of Gettysburg, you think of the battlefield, but there are many hidden gems in the town. This place is one of them. A small house with many stories to tell.

Service animals are permitted. However, the house is very small and has stairs. A stroller would not be feasible (very narrow).
