A great zoo with lots of things to see and do. The train-ride was awesome as was the place where kids could feed the birds and the butterfly area. We will be back !

We love the Turtle Back Zoo. We've been going for over 15 years and it is unbelievable the changes they have made over the years. We recently went and the kids had a great time watching the giraffes and petting the sting rays. Can't wait...More

We finally got to the Turtle Back Zoo & has a good 3 hour visit. The cafe entrance is closed for renovations so a short walk to the Educational Center entrance is needed. We enjoyed seeing the animals and they look well cared for.

We hadn't been to the Turtle Back Zoo since I daughter was about 10, and she leaves this week for college. We loved it then as a small, local zoo, but my goodness, how it has grown! It still has a local flavor, but there...More

We thought we would see lots of animals but they were either sleeping far from view or not there at all. The usual animals you can see on a farm were plentiful but we wanted to see the more exotic ones. The zoo itself has...More

The Turtle Back Zoo received rave reviews so my adult daughter and myself decided to visit the attraction. Although we did have a map of the grounds it still would have nice if there were some workers around to answer our questions. Lots of walking...More

I recently visited the Turtle Back Zoo with four of my grandchildren. It was a great experience for all of them, except that there is a lot of uphill walking and not a lot of shade on a sunny day. This did not detract from...More

Many animals will be outside and not much area inside for visitors. Will be chilly, but if you don’t mind the cold, go and enjoy! You can easily cover everything in two hours.

The number of turtles varies by the need ... there are no permanent residents. The last time I visited, there were around six, give or take a turtle or two. One caveat as well ... the turtles are part of a recovery... More
