By the time we got here to the print shop I had so much information on Benjamin Franklin that I didn’t need to go inside. I did take a few pictures outside. The museum has a lot of printing machines and materials of the print...More

Didn't really know what to expect, but we were really glad we came in here. The guys will actually print a historical document, and tell you all about the old printing methods. It was very interesting & we learned a lot.

A quick stop. They have a printing press, bookbindery, and Franklin's son's newspaper office, along with a few panels. They also sell copies of the declaration printed onsite. Apparently they have printing demonstrations but when I stopped by, the rangers were just talking among themselves.

With a great Ranger explaining and demonstrating, this small part of the larger Benjamin Franklin complex is great. Plus it is free. You can pay a nominal price for a copy of the Declaration of Independence, literally fresh off the press.

We enjoyed the presentation by the Park Employee, he was a wealth of information regarding the printing press and the lettering. Small place, nice demonstration and free admission.

Check for the hours of operation. Doesn't take but 10-15 minutes. They have THE CHEAPEST Declaration prices - and they have just printed them!
