Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Didn’t know what to expect from this but wow! We came early evening and stayed for a couple of well spent hours Rollerskating at summer fest (little amusement area) and then along at the dock side of the maritime museum which was incredible, definitely worth a visit, well displayed with great lighting and even vegan food outlets - great evening

I moved to Philly only last summer and did not know a single soul. I began investigating places to go and things to do and become more familiar with my new home city. One of those things was the Delaware River Front. It is accessible via most modes of transportation including walking depending on where you are located. Each week and for that matter each day during the summer, they have any number of activities going on for all who attend. Hammocks, Adirondack chairs, live music, great little eats and plenty of people are there for your enjoyment!

Easy safe and comfortable walk from Liberty Bell area hotels, small open park with beer availablility and lots of shade ti enjoy a view of the river and I believe the battle ship "New Jersey" across the river. A tall ship, sub and a few other ships for your pleasure. But the cooool beer, sitting in the shade in 85 degree heat was soooo enjoyable with my wife at my side. Yes, if the weather is right, take the time.

As you can imagine, Philadelphia's waterfront was the start of one of America's first cities and important ports. Many of the old warehouses and dwellings of dockworkers still stand, as does the old Customs House. For some reason, perhaps a complete loss of reason, the city decided to put route 95 right where the waterfront used to be. later they realized that it would be a good idea to provide a place to walk to what we have now is a concrete walkable highway along route 95, where there used to be 18th century houses. Disgraceful.

We were at Penn’s landing for the Memorial Day activities. We spent some time people watching and strolling along the waterfront.
There were a lot of people, and things to eat and do,
There was a band playing in the little amphitheater.

The Delaware separates Pennsylvania and New Jersey. There's lots to see. It is still a functioning port, you can see Camden Yards as across the water There are also a paid off US Navy cruiser and submarine, and several tall ships. It's also a great place for an after dinner stroll.

I walked one of the pedestrian bridges to the waterfront! There is a park that includes many statues and and tribute to previous wars! Take some time to walk to the statues to enjoy them as part of your waterfront walk

If you're asking about the Penn's Landing area in Philly's "Center City" area, it's 20 minutes or less (non-rush hour) once you leave the airport terminal by car. Follow the signs for I-95 North until you see signs for Penn's Landing, Columbus Boulevard and waterfront exits.
