Stunning mural and fountain
Oct. 2019 • Friends
On a walking tour of Washington Square we read of the visual treasures inside the Curtis Building. The magnificent mural is visible on entry and a short walk down the hall takes you to the atrium flanked by a spectacular fountain.

Beautiful building

Great property. The apartments are first class and offer some of the city’s best views. PJ Clarke’s is a great spot for food and drinks.

If you are in the vicinity of the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, you should walk the extra block to view this magnificent piece. You will not be disappointed.

Atrium

Very nice atrium not to mention the magnificent glass mosaic. lunch at PJ Clarkes proper fish n chips friendly service. Fish was very good, good tarter sauce, fries were just fries and provided me with my entire sodium intake for the next few days. I do not live there so please read reviews from people who actually live in the building for those details.

Stunning hidden gem!
Apr. 2019 • Couples
My husband has been talking about viewing the Maxfield Parrish mosaic mural in the lobby of the Curtis Building for several years. We finally made it! It is stunning!! Tiffany produced the mural which is displayed in the front lobby. There is a beautiful little pool in front of it. We arrived about 8:45 AM so there were reflections on the mural from the windows across the lobby. A very helpful and cheerful guard shared her own photos (without any reflections) taken between 7 and 7:30 AM. Next time we'll have to get there earlier. This could be a quick stop during a tour of the Independence Park attractions. It is definitely a hidden gem.

Favorite mural in a city with many other murals.

This was a lovely surprise on our walking historical tour -- a huge mosaic made of glass. Unique and stunning! No charge. There's also an appealing-looking pub in the building but I'm not sure what it's called or how good it is.

As a big fan of the artist Maxfield Parrish, thanks to TripAdvisor (Things to do/nearby) we discovered this beautiful mosaic mural hiding in plain sight in downtown Philadelphia.

A SPECIAL PLACE
Oct. 2017 • Friends
When visiting Independence Park take a short walk across Walnut Street to the Curtis Center. In the entrance lobby there is a magnificent 80 foot glass mosaic produced by Tiffany. It is a garden scene that comes to life in front of you. It is incredible and well worth the time to visit. In the atrium in the center of the building is a marvelous fountain that you must see before leaving the building.

Dream Garden
Jul. 2017 • Friends
I bring all my guests to see this mural, 15-by-49-foot (4.6 m × 14.9 m) glass-mosaic Dream Garden (1916) designed by Maxfield Parrish and made by Louis Tiffany and Tiffany Studios.[9]

NOT TO BE MISSED.

We were there for a wedding reception. The food and service was excellent. The reception was held in the atrium. Such a beautiful old building. If you are in the area, visit the building and make sure that you don't miss the wonderful stained glass mural in the marble room, just down the hallway from the atrium.
