My husband and I love love love going to this park. It's in the city but you feel so secluded and private while taking long walks/runs/hikes without worrying about being in a crowded place.

As a member of a (German Baptist) Brethren fellowship, this park has historical significance for me. There is a marker along the Wissahickon Creek designating the location for the first (German Baptist) Brethren baptisms in the United States. They took place on December 25, 1723....More

This park is sort of out of the way in Northwest Philly, but it’s definitely worth it if you’re interested in nature and greenery. I also took very nice photos with my camera here. It does not even feel like you’re in the city of...More

This is a very beautiful resource, so close to the city. We were there end October, hoping for the Fall colors, but a week too early! There is an excellent place for lunch, by the car park, called Valley Green Inn, but you might need...More

It was a perfect fall day for trailing and the trails were beautiful. We crossed a covered bridge and a variety of terrains. However we got lost. I don't quite understand how we went from one trail to another. Having hiked many sections of A.T....More

One of the best experiences I’ve had in Philadelphia. It is nature at its best, and there are so many trails to follow. Provides a good work out too.

Forbidden Drive is a wonderful place to walk, run, ride a bike or horseback ride. Many trails off of the drive - with beautiful views.
