Boathouse Row is an icon Philadelphia landmark. The boat houses are not a far walk from the Philadelphia Museum of Art and also have a nice area of their own with walkways and parks. Boathouse row really comes alive at night especially with the newly installed LED lights that the city recently installed to allow changing of light colors and... More

Recently improved lighting producing an evening spectacular cross river view. These Boathouse are spectacular and historic and have been in fully use for more than a century. Enjoy the colorful houses and a walk, jog or bike ride up the river drive in Fairmont Park then have a casual lunch or dinner at one of the river view restaurants.

Boathouse Row is a nice walk from the Art museum. The river and the park are very picturesque. The houses lit up at night though with their reflections in the river is the best time to visit.

We were there to see the regatta. Beautiful day along the banks of the river. Nice path for exercise and well used by city dwellers.

I was visiting my daughter in Philadelphia and I have always noticed the boathouses as I come in from New York on the train. They are located right near the art museum. There is an excellent flat walking path and there are grassy areas to sit in and just relax. So fun to watch the crew teams practice. A great... More
