Although now a regular Macy's, this was home to the John Wanamaker department store, a Philadelphia institution and a prominent landmark. This is really a notable tourist attraction for three reasons: 1. Beautiful, massive building with large first floor attrium, invoking the grandeur of the...More

I went to this Macy's to buy some pantyhose and some stockings. It's a huge Macy's and the light show with the organist is pretty awesome. The store looks like an old opera house so even when the organist is playing, it doesn't sound very...More

The elegant façade of the building is a clue to what lies within. The interior is very beautiful and the gold organ can be best viewed from the second floor. Don't miss" the Eagle" a large sculpture which is a favourite meeting place for Philadelphians

This is not just a department store. It is a historical location. The architecture is beautiful and you must see the huge pipe organ in the center. The Christmas light show is wonderful.

This is a MUST if your ever in Philadelphia. The cost is only $12 per person but boy is it very interesting especially when the tour guide takes you to see a Tiffany window that would cost well over $1,000,000 now. But the icing on...More
