This is also known as the Graff House, it is three floors and is the site where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Admission is free and you can see the reconstructed rooms where Jefferson worked and lived.

This three floor, narrow brick building is not original, but a reconstruction that marks the site where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. He rented two rooms on the second floor of a home that was owned by Mr. Graff. Admission is free and...More

Don’t go out of your way for this. Maybe 20 minutes for a self guided tour. The entrance is the glass door around the back-not easy to find.

Don’t go out of your way to visit this one. It’s nice to see the rooms where the Declaration was written, but that’s basically all it is. It’s free, so if you are there, go in, but we couldn’t even get our National Park passport...More

Run by the NPS, this exhibit is left over from the Bicentennial. This is the "location" of where Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence. The "actual" house is not there; there's a replica of what his room "may" have looked like. A two-story mosaic of...More

We go to a lot of the Park Service historic sites, and this one was rather disappointing. There was very little to do here. It might be good for kids... not sure. I understand it was built as a reproduction of the original house, as...More

The security man talked about the items and he was very well spoken and interesting. Small. You’ll get through it fast.
