The attraction is very small, and can be done very quickly. Inside, there is a small display on the Declaration of Independence, which is not really much. And going upstairs, there are the 2 rooms that were rented out to Jefferson. Obviously, not the original rooms or period furniture, but replicas. And after that, that is pretty much it! For... More

Although I did not go inside the Declaration House, while I was only one block away I decided to walk by this historical landmark. If you are close, I definitely recommend that you at least walk by just because it is another important part of the history of the area.

This is the house where Jefferson wrote and re-wrote the Declaration with the help of Franklin and Adams. Very informative tour by the ranger. One thing to be aware of...after Labor day, the house is only open on certain days. Call ahead of time, we had to return the day after our first attempt.

The Declaration House where Thomas Jefferson drafted the declaration of independence has many very interesting artifacts and pictures to look at and read including drafts of the Declaration of Independence. The living space of the house is decorated in period correct furnishings and such. Very interesting for any history buffs.

Tours are limited to 15 people so you will need to arrive about 15 minutes early. The lower level offers information about the document. The upper level has two rooms on display. The NPS could improve the building and utilize the space better. The Ranger did an excellent job.

This is a very cool and historically significant place, and they've done a great job interpreting the rooms Jefferson rented. The first floor exhibit was small, but it got the point across. The second floor was good as far as the historic rooms Jefferson rented, but then there was another section that I didn't quite understand. Maybe they're making improvements... More

I stood in awe looking at the rooms where Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. I also enjoyed the five minute introductory video. If you like to see where famous people lived and did important things, you will like this house and should visit it. If you don't care about this sort of thing, there are MANY other places... More

The Graf house or declaration house is at 6th and market st. It is a reproduction of the original house which was demolished in 1888. On the second floor is a reproduction of Jefferson's bedroom and study in which he wrote the declaration. Price is free and it is open from 12-4
