We take in the occasional production at the Walnut Street Theater, so for the Sept 2017 through June 2018 we purchased the season ticket package. I had requested some nice center orchestra seat assignments in row J for the Thursday matinee (we do not care...More

Had the opportunity to see a show at this venue yesterday. It's really a beautiful facility with a lot of history. My only downfall were the seats, they were not very comfortable for a taller person, had no leg room at all, but will not...More

We enjoyed the final performance of "Tell Me on a Sunday" in the Independence Studio theater which seats about 100 on folding chairs. The performance was well done by the understudy, with live piano accompaniment. Enjoyable performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber one woman show. Entrance...More

We visited Independence Studio on 3 (3rd floor of the theatre) to see the classic one girl show, Tell Me on a Sunday by Webber and Black. The stage is tiny and the audience seated on 100 folding chairs made for a very intimate production,...More

Staying nearby, we bought tickets for “Tell Me On A Sunday” in the Studio theatre. Unreserved seating, but we arrived early and were near to the stage for this just over one hour song cycle. Well produced and, an excellent performance making for entertaining evening.

With a stellar cast (Greg Wood, Mary Martello, Ben Dibble), how could any production go wrong and the production of Noises Off is no exception. This hilarious three act play within a play will have you laughing through each act. Greg Wood is a director...More

The Walnut Theatre need to improve the seats, the seats size are probably from the time when the oldest theater in USA has been built. Other then that I wish they will have chosen better play then “The Humans”. The play itself lacks coherent story...More

Visited this theatre for the first time last night with my wife, to see a "radio show" of the classic "It's a wonderful life." The show was excellent and, in fact, educational. Even though I'm an old f_rt, I wasn't around when they did shows...More

I just checked the theater's website and it looks like the theater is closed for the month of August. The next show listed is South Pacific on September 6, 2016.

Its not the best, but still good. Theater is small, so unless you are in a far corner, you are fine. Enjoy!
