Visited this museum on several occasions. Was a little concerned that my young son would be bored, but he really enjoyed it. There are exhibits designed for children and the Ellis Island/Immigration exhibit will keep any child interested. It involves quite a bit of walking...More

It was a total waste of time. Who cares about all this! There is a lot of such propaganda all around. You can walk through in less than 30 minutes and spend your precious time elsewhere.

The museum spans Jewish-American history from the 1600s to today. Too much to take in in one day. They had a fascinating special exhibit on how 1917 changed the world. I expected the museum to be more interactive than it was, but there still quite...More

I am not usually into too many museums but this was amazing. We spent 3 hours and could have spent much more. Great exhibits showing timelines. Lots of videos.

Very well thought out with a nice design and interesting methodology of displaying Jewish heritage and culture. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and they are always there to help explain to those that need clarification or have additional questions. The rotating exhibits are very...More

This museum was the best museum I have ever visited. Our guide Mr. Chapin (I think Steven) was terrific. He was so knowledgeable, intelligent and expressive. He knew the answers to all questions we asked. The tour took us two hours and went through the...More

At first drawn to this museum's exhibit about Bill Graham and the history of Rock & Roll, I've since returned to spend time going through their permanent exhibit and recently experienced their 1917 presentation. What can I say, other than that the special shows are...More

This is a very nice museum, my family and a few friends visited. The lay out of the museum is very nice, a lot of thought and planning went it to it.

While we did not have time to visit every exhibition, we found the special collection about Jewish rock music musicians and promoters very interesting and lots of fun!

A visit for a couple of hours is fine but the more time the better. The museum offers docent-led free one-hour tours at 11:30 and 2:30 each day. Take a tour if possible to get a feel for all the history that is covered on... More
