it has exhibitions of Egyptian, Asian, Continental American Indian, some European. It has 3 stories, but not too big that needs a whole day to visit. It would be even better if there were less groups of student on their field trip.

Nice, although the text with the displays is aimed at the ten-year old level. A bit simplistic for adults, but still nice.

Its near university, Nice place, OK collection. Nice garden to hang around. Mummies collection is OK but not as good as British museum in London. 3 floor, a cafeteria, helpful staff. Good for children.

I adore the Penn Museum! This is truly one of the most delightful museums I have bene to in the world. The sphinx alone is reason enough to trek there to see the collection. The museum is filled with unusual, impressive and remarkable items. The staff...More

Coming from the West Coast, I know very little about the Native Americans of the East Coast. So, the exhibits on the Delaware Valley Native Americans and how they were in many cases exiled were quite interesting. The Greece, Rome, Egypt, Etruscan, and Bible Lands...More

They do not have as many items comparing to other major museum. But, their collection are very well selected such as in the Egyptian and Asian and Middle East areas.

The Penn Museum has a long history of making the millennia-old history of the Fertile Crescent known to us, and it is therefore gratifying that the Museum hosts the exhibit Cultures in the Crossfire when there are many indications that war has ravaged, even destroyed...More

The Archaeology and Anthropology Museum of Penn is a joy to visit. One learns so much from each display. Well represented are The Middle East, Ancient Mediterranean, and the Americas.

I have enjoyed coming here for years and particularly seeing the mummies. A great place to take the kids for a day out in Philly.

It takes 1_ 1.5 hours to see the Egyptian section. There are some really excellent exhibits here. It reminded me of some of the artifacts I saw in Israel. Enjoy this museum. You will not be disappointed. Gene P. Coplay PA
