Just walking by left such a lasting impression. Not knowing too much about Masonic Temples (although my father is a mason), the architect of this church is phenomenal from the curb. Had it been opened to the public, I would've loved to had gone inside. It was appreciated to simply get to see as one of Philly's wonderful landmarks for... More

This building is conveniently located across from the beautiful City Hall and Love Park. If you appreciate historic buildings, this is a must see. You do not have to be a member of the Masonic fraternity to enjoy it. There are several meeting rooms on tour, each with a different motif, for example, Gothic Hall, Egyptian, Greek, and others, all... More

This building across from City Hall has impressive architecture and history. It's not commonly visited by tourists so is not over crowded. A great place to learn about the free masons and the secret society.

Tours at 11am and 3pm If i recall correctly. This is worth a look whether you are interested in the history of the masons or you love excellent art and architecture. The location is a little dicy and i found being shouted at on my way over by the poor mentally ill homeless people that get no care or have... More

Mason or not its worth a visit into this historic building to learn about Masonry from the helpful staff. Mason's have played a large role in American history and visiting the Masonic Hall in the USA first capital is worth it. amazing building and spectacular rooms. You can ask plenty of questions throughout the tour.

If you are aware of the Masons, then you must visit this place. The place won't reveal much about the masons or how they work or their beliefs but the guided tour would show your around the temple, explain each room, the chairs and the architechture. A very good place to spend an afternoon. Student discount: yes Close to downtown:... More

We were fortunate to catch the last tour of the day on a recent visit to Philadelphia. The architecture is exquisite and the guides are very knowledgeable sharing their Masonic history. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the Masonic traditions or if you want to know what this fellowship is all about. Cost is very reasonable and... More

This is one of the greatest building in the city. Although I have no idea what it does, but it never fails to capture my eyes every time I look from elsewhere into this area.

The architecture is amazing, and you do learn about the Mason's. However, you only learn what they think is ok for the public to know. It turkey is a secrete society.

I have always had a fascination with freemasonry. The tour through the Masonic temple was neat as each room was based on a different theme. The tour guide was great about answering any and all questions that we had. He was very knowledgeable. After talking to the tour guide, he informed me they have an early print of the Book... More
