The Independence Visitor Center is the gateway to America's Most Historic Square Mile. Located in the heart of Independence National Historical Park, the official Visitor Center of the region is the exclusive location to pick up free-timed tickets to tour Independence Hall. The Independence Visitor Center also provides visitor services and amenities, including a multilingual staff fluent in nine languages, on-site ticketing to more than 60 area attractions and tours, free regional maps and brochures, comprehensive daily event listings, and free informative historical films and wireless internet access. The Visitor Center is also the primary point of orientation for the City of Philadelphia, the Southern New Jersey and Delaware River Waterfronts, as well as Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.

This place includes a few places to shop in a souvenir shop, some history inside, nice picture spots and bathrooms. When you are down in this area def stop in for a break and look around.

Well done exhibits, good atmosphere for kids and adults. Restaurant is mostly pre packaged foods, except for small grill. Plenty of elevators and light airy building.

This should be your first stop. Early morning get your tickets (free) for Independence Hall. Go through the exhibits, then head across the street to the Liberty Bell.

This is where you need to start your visit of area historical sites. Lots of information. Tickets for tour buses. Tickets for Independence Hall. Two short movies about the American Revolution.

I attending an outdoor Prayer Program on Independence Mall and visited the center with two children. The center was clean yet busy with travelers.Signage was clearly mark throughout the building and I felt comfortable the entire time.
