We wanted to take a tour but it was sold out but would have loved to take the architecture or tower tour. Make sure you book in advance.

One of the most interesting place in Philadelphia. City Hall is the largest municipal building in the United States. It has the tallest statue in the world that is placed on the roof of the building; it has the third biggest clock on the building after the Big Ben and the clock on the Spasskaya Tower.

My daughter and I visited the City Hall and took the tour to the top of the tower. The view is breath taking! A 360 degree view of the entire city.

A true Philadelphia landmark. With over 700 rooms and an observation deck at the foot of the William Penn statue. This icon took thirty years to build, but was almost reduced to a parking lot a few decades ago.

We really enjoyed walking down he long hallways and imagining what it was like 200 years ago. The stone steps, carved bannisters, marble décor has all been recently renovated, polished and stabilized for all posterity. It's very safe too. You have to have badges and clearance to enter. All sorts of offices, statues, old portraits on the walls and unique... More

Great! You can take a guided tour (which includes a trip up in the clock tower) or you can take the unguided clock tower tour. by itself, which is not completely unguided - the guard/elevator operator does give a brief history and gives facts about the tower. The observation deck is enclosed but not climate-controlled so dress appropriately. Great view!

It's a beautiful building, just ignore the inhabitants of it! Take the trip to the brim of Billy Penn's hat for the 360* view.

Great architecture and an easy walk from most of downtown Philly. This historic building is a great drive by.

Stayed in the Marriott Courtyard across the street and had amazing views of this American landmark. Great p;ace for the Christmas market and strolling through the walkway that goes through the center of the building feels like you are strolling the grounds of a european castle.
