Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a nice gateway to Chinatown. This one certainly does not fall for those in New York or Washington. If you are a fan this is definitely worth it.

Chinatown itself was not worth it. The gate was the best part. Dont go out of your way but if your in the area you should stop and look at it. Take 5 minutes and admire it. Take a few pictures of it and keep moving.

Interested in Chinatown then it’s nice. Evening time when we were there and bins outside many places so a little dingy to look at. Always nice to walk through a Chinatown in any city. The history signs were nice.

I always like to visit Chinatown as it is usually lively with lots to see and do, was disappointed in Philly, nice gate to mark the area but mainly food places, couldn't find a market or many shops, place was empty so moved on

Recently renovated, this is the most colorful and ornate gate of all the Chinatowns visited. It's best viewed approaching on 10th (one way) from Race towards Arch. Along that path today, you also get a sense of pride the community takes in being part of America...completely decorated for the upcoming July 4th celebration with banners of American flags strung across the street like Chinese lanterns would be for other holidays.

Chinatown always a good place to visit when you go to a city for a quick bite. Chinatown here bigger than life. You can feel the history here but most buildings here need a lot of refurbishment.

When I’m in the area, I always look for the Chinatown Friendship Gate. There are so many wonderful restaurants, grocery stores, retail shops, and places of worship. Located within the demographic of Center City, this area is easily accessed via SEPTA and foot. The next time you visit Philadelphia, check it out. This architectural feature is nicely maintained.

This area definitely is not just "Chinatown". It is "Asian Town". There are all kind of Asian people living or having business here. If you are craving from Asian food, this place will definitely satisfy you!! There are restaurants, bakery, dessert shops, market & etc. A few blocks of yummy food~
