This is an easy drive on paved roads, starting in the high desert just off US 40 and winding north and up through the sandstone canyon country and spectacular rock formations, up to the end at Harpers Corner, where you can take the 1.5 mile (one way, 3 mile round trip) hike to a point overlooking both the Green and... While I am glad we experienced this part of the Monument, there were other places I enjoyed more. The paved road has some scenic overlooks and a short hike at the end, but the real gem of the park in the Dinosaur area is the Echo Park Road, which is not suitable for all vehicles. Be sure to stop at... More

Take the time to drive this 30 mile drive. Get out and take the walks , they are very easy to travel, paved trails. The views are spectacular, and there us no entrance fee.

This is a fairly long drive, considering you have to turn round and come back at the end but it is well worth it. There are multiple pull outs with stunning views of the area, each one keeps getting better and better... In the end to save time we had to skip a few but all of them had amazing... More

The drive to get to this trail is quite lengthy. We felt like we'd never arrive. Thankfully there were lots of lookout points where we could see canyon vistas below. Parts of the road were snow covered on our way during early April. Once at the trail we were thankful to get started. I saw it marked as easy; I'd... More

Very scenic views. They had experienced a wild fire the day before but all roads were open and fire fighters were on watch.

If visiting Dinosaur National Monument, you have to take the short drive into Colorado to take Harpers Corner Scenic Drive. You have one scenic overlook after another. Be sure to stop at all of the pull offs and take in the incredible scenery. The return drive is just as scenic since you're seeing the fabulous scenery from the opposite direction.
