The quarry wall has so many real dinosaur bones - not just casts. I also loved reading about the history - many famous museums have bones taken from this area. We also enjoyed seeing petroglyphs and visiting Josie's cabin

Dinosaur covers a large area and will take a good day to cover the basics. The national monument and fossil exhibits are very nice. The petroglyphs are fantastic, and the roads through the park are well worth the time.

We finally toured the monument and loved every minute. The real bones were amazing and so worth going to see. Make sure to go on the driving tour and get out and see all 15 sites. The petroglyphs were really cool and it's fun to...More

What a treat to visit a National Park Visitor Center that cares enough about the quality of service it provides the visitor by staffing the Visitor Center desk with a uniformed professional National Park Ranger. We were disappointed the day before at Rocky Mountain National...More

Still worth the drive. Main building is where all the fossils are. There are plenty of other places to get out of the car and hike/walk.

We were there in Late April and it was quite cool. I know it can hot in the summer, but the campground is on the river and has lots of trees so it may not be too bad. It is absolutely gorgeous.
