I love devils tower and will always visit if I'm near by. Be aware there is plenty more to see. The prarie dogs are always fun to watch too. Take some time and explore the park and take the trails around. Often you can see climbers scaling the vertical walls.

My family visited this monument during a road trip and we enjoyed the view. We had a dog with us and dogs aren't allowed out of the parking lot, so we took turns hiking the trail to get closer to the monument and it was a spectacular sight.

My friends own the ranch across the highway from the tower. I have been hunting out there for years and just about every picture that I have taken includes Devils Tower. It's like a magnet to a camera. So I wanted my girlfriend to see it. She thought it was amazing!

We stayed at the KOA just outside the gate. Being east coasters the 3 hour time difference made it easy to watch the sunrise over this iconic beauty. We hiked around the base and my kids filled out Junior ranger books.

Ever since watching "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" this has meant something. This is an amazing natural rock formation. I recommend getting out and follow the trail around the entire monument. I was surprised to see people climbing to the top.(Permits and proper equipment is required). The wildlife in the area seemed to be accustomed to the presence of... More

I visited here on a sunny day. My dad and I did the walk around the monument. It wasn't a bad walk at all. It was longer than I expected though. Being able to get that close was so cool. Also saw a bunch of climbers on it as well. It was also very crowded.

It is definitely worth the drive out to see Devil's Tower but there isn't anything else to do in the area other than seeing the tower. It's not an entire day activity unless you are into doing a lot of hiking.

During the summer of 2016 I decided to fulfill a dream I had wanted since childhood, to visit Mt. Rushmore. On the way up to South Dakota I searched for other 'unusual things' within a few hour perimeter that I might enjoy on the way. While I was at Wind Cave National Park I found out that the Devil's Tower... More

Was visiting Mount Rushmore and decided to visit Devils Tower, sort of a long drive through the back country of Wyoming. It cost us $15. The visitor center was small but had good information. Not very many people visiting but it was great. Hiked around the tower, trail is not maintained in Winter but enough people hike on it that... More

Thought this would be just a stop along the way. Wished we set aside 1/2 the day to visit this location. The trail around the tower was very nice and we would of loved to have taken the trail. The pictures don't do the location justice. Take at least 6 hours to check out all there is to see here.
