I love the sounds of running water and if you do too then McGee Creek is your spot! We used to own a condo in Mammoth so we would visit often as a child. This creek was where some of my favorite memories were with...More

McGee Creek is a Short drive off of the 395. We took our two young children on a nice, one hour, horseback ride up into the canyon. We saw the beautiful streams, wild flowers, and breath taking views of the Sierras. The employees at McGee...More

Great little sun-shaded picnic tables with mountain view. Day use discouraged but we were off season and it was deserted so no problem for a picnic. The RV section at the highway looked a bit ramshackle.

A beautiful place. Several beaver dams along the creek. Shallow in lots of places but several pools looked good for fishing. We saw DFG stock with 50lbs of rainbow trout while we were there. Very cool to watch. Still couldn't catch anything! LOL Wildflowers weren't...More

Hi, I do remember seeing dogs on trails in the area, but can't recall this one specifically. Best to double check.
