Great place for entry level hiking especially with kids. Lots of places to stop on the loop trail. Gorgeous views. Sparkling water. We’ve come multiple times with our kids. Easy trip from Mammoth Lakes.

Stream or Lake fishing from shore is pretty good. Very interesting area and some great scenery and well worth the stop to just walk around the lake.

Good fishing from shore and the stream has some nice trout too. Plenty to do i.e. fishing, hiking, photography, food stop, etc. Short drive from 395. Parking can get crowded. Best in mornings and evenings.
