Lots of snow, great runs equals good times. The mountain usually has the most snow of any resort in California and this year had the most snow of any resort in the country (early season).

We stayed with our car club 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Our room had a DVD about Dave McCoy (sp?) and how he founded Mammoth Mountain ski area which was fascinating. It's a beautiful area with lots to do near by.

Summer visit up the gondola. Got discount tickets from our hotel. The view was just spectacular. Don't bother with the half way up stop. Never knew they did mountain biking and hiking from the top. Full year round activities!

It can be Smokey but it depends on which way the wind is blowing. Some days are clear some are not. Although any day here is better than being in the Bay Area Smokey or not.
