Visited this mountain on the way to Death Valley. Gondolas were closed and only admired the mountain from the bottom. Still, it was a spectacular sight with the snow.

I've been going to Mammoth for 45 years. I love skiing here. It is an outstanding place to ride, hike, fish, and relax....Mammoth has a special place in my heart.

For skiers and boarders, this is the absolute best. Highly recommend the Ikon base pass for people planning on doing 4+ days over the next season, was a great value. Great powder and beautiful mountain resort town.

There is a hostel (I’ve never stayed there). holidayhausmotelandhostel The Mammoth bus/shuttle system is quite good, & you’re never far from one of the lifts. The slopes are interconnected at Mammoth.
