It takes about 1.5 hours to get here from Ubehebe crater. The drive requires high clearance, but not necessarily 4WD. Be very careful in the Racetrack parking area. After 27 miles on the washboard road, I got a flat from a nail in the parking...More

Rocky dirt road that goes for miles. One way in and same way out unless you continue another 95miles to the end. All take effort to get to the racetracks leaves us questioning if it was indeed worth it. We could have just stopped at...More

As previous reviews have stated - it's remote and you need a decent Vehicle - we had a Ford Escape - and it got us there and back no issues. Labor Weekend Sunday - nobody around for miles. Nearest toilets are at the Grapevine Rangers...More

It's not easy to reach. But, it'll be an experience you will never forget!!! To start, give yourself at least a half-day for this adventure. The road is rocky and at times very rough, especially if there have been recent rains. Don't even think of...More

The Racetrack is a great experience and one certainly worth the 28 mile drive from Ubehebe Crater. However, let's discuss how to get there safely. There are signs present at the start of the road advising you that high clearance 4x4 is recommended as well...More

行って良かった。 Las Vegasから車で6時間かかりました。 うちダートは3時間で4WD以外は走行禁止です。 動くRockなんともミステリーな自然現象です。 I was enjoyed that. It took about 6 hours from Las Vegas. In that I took for about 3 hours on the rugged road. They accept to drive only SUV on trace rock valley Rd. How mysterious moving rocks are!

To reach racetrack we rented Jeep in Farabee Jeep rental. It is a little bit pricey but I don't recommend to save on safety in Death valley. Farabee gives you one page description how to drive to racetrack. Read it! - It is very accurate...More

This place is unbelievable and out of this world!!! So vast, so flat, so uninhibited and uninhabited! I've seen many nature places from the popular spots during my leisure travels to the lesser known spots during my geology field trips, and the racetrack playa definitely...More

Racetrack Playa is majestic. Words cannot do justice to the desolate beauty of the place. The road going to the Playa is very rough. It is about 25 miles from Uhebehe Crater, all of which are on a rough dirt road. A high-clearance vehicle is...More
