OK but not great

Small with somewhat oldish decor. Upside parking easy and onsite, food good and super cheap, tennis courts in poor repair. The outside deck really needs updating.

The good news for the day was we were able to get off early and there was no one behind us the entire round even though we did have a couple gents in front. We'll that is where the good news stops. We went upstairs to get some beverages to go but after 10 minutes waiting for the bartender we... More

My first impression was that no effort is made to maintain fairways or pick up debris (leaves, sticks). I understand that it is the winter months (10's of thousands of vacationers in area!!) but somewhat of an effort must be made. The greens were found to be bumpy and slow. The layout is tough and challenging. Too bad that the... More

Tough for a guy who has not seen play for months. Narrow and lots of trees and water.Paid $50 on a Saturday morning which wasn't too bad. Staff was helpful. Driving range was good.Food was good. Sandwiches and stuff. Lots of courses down here to chose from but if you are near this is not a bad place to play.

Loved the geography. Very green compared to other courses nearby. Not wet despite much rain. Nice greens. Pretty course and nice staff. I am not a great golfer but I felt fairly confident on all holes.

Early tee times, two deer on the first fairway. Eight friends, great weather. The first nine was fine, but a ranger who should have worn a cowboy hat and a six gun, but had no clue about his job ruined the day. He stopped us and asked that we speed up when there was (or had not been) anyone in... More

We've played The River Club over a number of years and like the Course very much. There are some very challenging holes but you feel that they could do a bit more. Some of the Bunkers were unplayable not because we couldn't wield a SW but they were rock hard. The greens could also do with some work. Misty Creek... More

The greens were in terrible shape. This is an older course with a nice layout but it has been let go. It is too expensive compared to the other courses in the area.

They have really let this course go. It's a reasonable layout, that has been ruined. They need to blow it up.

I have played the River Club a few times. The staff is fine, the course is nice, some holes have difficult layout but normally in decent shape. This time the greens were terrible. Don't know if they have had some type of problem but they were essentially devoid of grass. Basically putting on thinned out grass and sand and so... More
