This is a hidden gem of a museum, it has a planetarium and an aquarium with oldest living manatee (Snooty) in residence. Well worth a visit.

Very nice museum for the whole family. They have a aquarium with two Manatees, a planetarium with a 25 min show, and two floors of exhibits. Watch for their family day special where you get in for half price. All the staff was very friendly.

Our party of six (two adults and two children ages 6 and almost 8) totally enjoyed the museum and especially the planetarium. We were there for my niece's birthday and she had a blast. I would definitely recommend a visit.

This museum and planaterium are not well known, but this week they have a dinosaur exhibit beginning and the planetarium show is very well done (I-MAX) and engaging.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, and don't forget to say hello to Snooty! the museum is a good place to learn about Florida, and the settling of the Tampa Bay area. The air conditioning is a welcome advantage in the hot summertime.

Fantastic day out. Manatees amazing and presentation very interesting with lots of facts and data supplied by handler. Also loved the Planetarium presentation. Be eveloped in the universe with a dome shaped presentation above and around you - incredible!

The planetarium shows are very well done. Presenters very friendly and knowledgable. The Saturday 2pm "Sky Tonight" shows are a great idea. What to see this evening!

No. There are no restaurants onsite, but many good ones within an easy walk (3-4 blocks). Pier 22 and o'Bricks are two of my favorites. Enjoy!
