Farm life in the 1880s comes alive at Carriage Hill MetroPark. Visitor Center exhibits start the journey back in time while demonstrations, reconstructed and historical buildings, and even period farm animals paint the picture. There are also acres of natural beauty to enjoy and a horseback riding center.

We took advantage of unseasonably cool, pleasant weather to walk the trails around the lake, meadows, pasture, & farm this week. This is one of my favorite places in the world, always serene, beautiful, clean, well preserved & updated. I have been visiting here for...More

My wife the city gal loved the little lambs in the barn and just about everything else around the old farmstead. No, this isn't Willioamsburg, but Williamsburg is colonial Virginia- a different time and place. Carriage Hill intreprets daily life in rural Ohio in the...More

We took our daughter to the horse riding center of the park for their pony rides and she loved it! The ladies working the pony rides were fantastic! Very nice, always smiling, and super helpful. You can also just walk around the horse barn to...More

A beautiful park with plenty "nature" to see, but the best part is the 1800's living history farm there - you get to see how they farmed way back when! Go check it out - totally fun and interesting!

I can see how this park/farm is a great resource for locals, but I wouldn't describe it as a must-see for travelers, especially if you've been to Williamsburg, VA or anything like it. The visitor's center has a small display of items from 19th century...More

This is the place to go back in time and just enjoy the farm and family. Check their schedule for seasonal events to have even more fun.

My granddaughters loved going there. Old farm house with demonstrations on cooking and sewing at special times. Old barn with pigs, chickens and horses used to farm. Also there is a lake where you can fish. The visitor center has an old school room there...More

I go here several times a year to photograph the farm. There is more than just the farm. There are riding trails, fishing pond, hiking trails, and a nice little gift shop in the welcome center. The farm has seasonal activities, butchering a hog, maple...More

Great hikes, horse-back trails, ponds to 'ponder' or fish, bird-boxes abound. There is a riding center in back, if you don't own a horse. History recreated on the living farm. Indoor center for play and learning.
