Local growers, bakers, culinary specialists, and artisans fill this charming historic freight house. Reminiscent of European markets, it's alive with vendors, people and activity during market hours year-round.

Going to the 2nd Street Markets has been one of my favorite things to do in Dayton on a Saturday for years! The vendors just keep getting better and there's always something interesting to see or taste. It's a great place to people watch and grab a nice little breakfast in the morning. Ample parking but it does get more... More

Went to meet a friend that I hadn't seen in a long time. She suggested this place. I was really impressed. They had great music. Food was fantastic! And they had lots of shops to browse along with fresh produce. I would definitely recommend this place.

Visiting from the UK we took a morning stroll around. What a lovely venue with lots of varied stalls and fantastic food options. All the stall holders we encountered were friendly and helpful but we must give a special call out to the lady on the Colombian food stall - what an absolute star, inviting, helpful, full of energy and... All types of food can be found here! Mom & Pop vendors and small vendors abound. Food for dining and fresh food to take home, honey, flowers, stoneware, jewelry, soy candles are just a few of the items sold there. There is usually live music of some type also. It does get crowded around lunch time, so be quick if... More

I have been to Dayton several times, but on quick trips and did not have a chance to explore the city. I had a chance to go to the 2nd Street Market a few weeks ago and it was great. We went there for breakfast on a Saturday and got crepes from Crepe Boheme. They were delicious. The market is... More

You need to get here early because the limited amount of seating fills up fast. here is a large selection of foods but I recommend the cabbage rolls. Most of the food vendors are locals putting out foods from countries they are not even from more like someone putting their twist on a food from South America with a twist... More

Enjoyed the market. There were many types of vendors. Prices of items are very reasonable. Artists of many types. I bought beautiful, unique jewelry from a vendor. She sold antique charms and chains. Charms that were made from old coins, keys, watch parts and many other fun things. I also bought nice alpaca socks for an upcoming Alaska trip. Very... More

This is a charming and friendly market, with small local startup restaurants, camera stalls, and a few artisanal booths. There were many interesting and tasty looking menus, but all of the food vendors were in short supply, and had little food to offer. The farmers stalls looked good, with fresh produce and baked goods, but a lot of repetition. They... More

There are many cool shops in the market - clothing, art, meat, flowers....even a cat adoption stall! I came for a quick bite to eat and had a slice of quiche - 1/2 off as I got there towards closing time. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the vendor - place isn't that big though, and she'll be easy... More
