We went to see another of the Dayton Art Institute special exhibits. This was very well displayed, and it ends around Jan. 08, 2016. We'll look forward to seeing another special exhibit as they have had outstanding special exhibits in the past. In the warm months we have had lunch in the center atrium.

Visited during a weekday in summer with my family. The museum was very quiet. Decent collections. We were impressed by the glass art work. No staffed kids activities when we visited but the family area was large with a few things you could do with a small child. Require paid admission. We paid extra for the penguins project, which was... More

The building on the outside is grand. Inside, the architecture is fabulous. Did not see much of the artwork as we were there attending a elegant and lavish Gala. Caterer was great!

The DAI has a very nice permanent collection from a variety of well-known artists from around the world. Everything from paintings to sculpture to glass - and just about everything in between. Monet, Hopper, DeGas, Rubens, O'Keeffe, Tiffany, Chihuly...and on and on. There is also quite an eclectic and elaborate collection of Asian Art which one can easily spend a... More

The DAI make for a good visit with plenty of items to see, explore with a kid friendly area to entertain the young ones. With kids getting in for free makes it more easier to bring them along. There's a nice café as you had out the entrance to dine prior to moving on to your next venture.

Both the art and sculptures were amazing. I was shocked at the quality of the works that were here. Unfortunately the European wing was closed

Even though the institute was undergoing some sort of renovation and some pieces were missing it was still a nice place to visit for an afternoon.

DAI puts on a great Oktoberfest! And you can visit the exhibits, as well. The museum is well laid out and provides a great deal of diversity.
